Chelmsford Property Clearances are better known as Essex House Clearances and we are a small locally owned and managed business providing house clearances not just in Chelmsford but across most of Essex, including Braintree, Brentwood and Colchester and all surrounding areas. We take pride in offering a reliable, friendly, efficient and personal service, to individuals and companies.
We’ve been involved in house clearances one way or another for many years and have experience of clearing all types of property, residential and commercial. We offer our property and house clearance services to homeowners, landlords, letting agents, estate agents and legal representatives. One of the unfortunate things we are all too well aware of is that a house clearance often follows the loss of a family member, and staff always do their utmost to be as compassionate and discreet as possible in such circumstances. With probate and similar clearances we try to be as flexible as possible and are happy to coordinate work either with yourself or your agents, as required.
Most of our work comes to us from personal referrals but we are also happy to work with property or estate agents either on a one-off or regular basis. If you work for such a group please contact us to discuss our referral program.
Ethical House Clearance
When we do a house clearance we often find items of furniture and other household effects that are too good to throw away, things other people would be glad to have in their homes. In such cases we try where possible to donate good quality furniture, clothes and other items to one or more of the charities we deal with, and they will then either donate them to people in need or sell them through their charity shops.
Naturally, not everything can be rehomed and such items are taken to a commercial recycling centre, where items are broken down into component parts, to salvage as much as possible. We do not take anything to landfill.
Your house clearance may also include items with a genuine resale value and in such cases we may agree to ‘buy’ them from you and discount your clearance costs. However, this is something discussed during the (free) assessment visit we provide for all house clearances prior to providing you with a quote.
